Operation Comfort is dependent on many organizations and individuals to make the goal of helping our wounded military have a better recuperative experience. Major corporations have worked through Operation Comfort to deliver the many services to date. We are pleased to highlight several of the contributors.

  1. North American Rescue Products
    • North American Rescue Products has provided much needed monetary support for projects and outings for our wounded servicemen.
  2. Air Warrior Courage Foundation and Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association
    • Both of these organizations are made up of servicemen who are no longer in active duty; however, their love and respect for our military are very active through gifts that support rehabilitative events for our wounded servicemen. http://www.airwarriorcourage.org/ & http://www.river-rats.org/
  3. Kwik Trip, Inc.
    • Kwik Trip, Inc. teamed with Operation Comfort during June in a program to give back to the community. Kwik Trip, Inc. raised monies for Operation Comfort by designating a portion of customer purchases of Nature’s Touch milk, orange juice and ice cream between June 3rd and June 23rd. The monies are being used to remodel the Soldier Family Assistance Center (SFAC) located across the street from Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC). The SFAC has been set up to serve as an information center and a living room like area for the families of the wounded as well as the wounded outpatients.
    • According to Gary Gonczy, Director of Marketing and Advertising, the project to give back to Operation Comfort and other non-profit organizations is just one way Kwik Trip, Inc. is living its mission statement: “To serve our customers and community moe effectively than anyone else by treating our customers, co-workers and suppliers as we, personally, would like to be treated.”
  4. American Airlines
    • American Airlines (AA), AApilots and AA flight attendants have supported Operation Comfort with reduced fairs for wounded Soldiers and Marines and their families. The AA pilots and flight attendants have also provided funding for special needs.

    • Soldiers at the BAMC medical center are using the new computers to communicate with their comrades in war zones and to conduct research on their transition to civilian life.
  6.  VFW of Texas
