January 15-20, 2006 Operation Comfort once again joined forces with Marc Mast, Adaptive Director of the Sun ValleySki & Snowboard School and Executive Director of the Wood River Ability Program in bringing 8 amputee Soldiers and Marines to Sun Valley for another fun filled rehabilitative skiing experience.  Once again the trip was a huge success!  The Winter Program allows the Veterans and their families to enjoy the freedom and thrills of participating in winter recreation activities.  The inclusion of family members is an important tool in developing a sport in which the whole family can participate.  Family participation reinforces the ability of our wounded Soldier or Marine to conquer life’s everyday challenges as a participant rather than being segregated from the rest of their family and society.
