Our Programs - Soldier Family Assistance Program:

Recognizing that when a service member is wounded, his family is in a state of shock.  They immediately come to the bedside of their loved one and they may stay for months and sometimes even years.  So what happens to their bills?  Are they going to go back to their home towns, to their work when they don't know if their son or daughter is going to live or die?  No, they are going to stay, regardless of their bills. 

Operation Comfort raises funds for this very situation.  The funds that are sent to us for our Soldier Family Assistance Program go to pay mortage payments, car payments, utility bills and other bills that the parents may not be able to keep up with.  We do not want to see homes and cars being taken away from these families just because they are at the bedside of their loved one and cannot leave.

We also assist wounded soldiers during difficult times and with transitional assistance once they leave the military.  Often times their VA check does not begin exactly when the wounded service member gets out of the service and this presents an incredible strain on them.
